**How will I help?**

You will be responsible for understanding and monitoring the technology asset base for Technology domains and managing the contractual processes associated with those assets. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that all assets (software & hardware) are tracked, licensed, supported, and managed. Working closely with our Commercial experts, you will lead negotiations of asset-based contracts, ensuring financial, operational and risk objectives are met.

This role reports to the **Head of Technology Asset and Contract Management **(TACM) and sits within the Technology Asset and Contract Management (TACM) function within the Integrated Product Services area of the I&SM business unit of Customer Service & Technology.

You will also be responsible for:

- Providing leadership and guidance to Technology stakeholders on all aspects of Technology Asset Lifecycle Management (TALM)
- Identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities across the Technology Asset base through implementing best in class asset-based contracts
- Driving automation of the data capture and ingest processes for all asset based repositories. Ensure all contract details are captured and data is accurate in source systems in a timely manner
- Ensuring executive engagement through formal governance processes
- Providing clear, risk-based assessments of the contracting process
- Working with operational teams and Finance to identify gaps with reporting and/or processes, formulating and facilitating plans to remediate
- Tracking, facilitating and optimising each contract renewal of Software and Hardware contracts through Strategic Contract Planning (SCP)
- Influencing, guiding, and advising Service Owners and Level 3 teams on the nature of their managed contracts, ensuring that contracts are structured to help meet business plans and drivers
- Building Strategic Contract Plans for Technology Domains that align with Product and Operational plans
- Ensuring requirements are clearly documented and understood for each renewal, and that you validate usage and meet financial expectations
- Guiding, instructing, and coaching your virtual team to deliver value.
- Understanding asset risk profiles (Licensing, Compliance, Lifecycle, Financial) and work with stakeholders to manage effectively
- Identifying and mitigating asset and contract risk through working closely with Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Legal and other core contributors to the contracting process

Monitor asset consumption and deployment for irregularities to ensure we remain within our contractual boundaries and obligations

**What do I need?**
- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- 5+ years of relevant IT Asset Management experience
- Understanding of Software and licensing concepts
- Exposure to Supplier contract management with a clear understanding of how IT Asset based contracts are constructed and delivered.
- Experience in commercially negotiating software contracts with large suppliers.
- Knowledge of how assets are financially managed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at a Senior and Executive Management level
- Experience in gathering and defining diverse Business Requirements and performing Gap Analysis
- Experience in working across technology disciplines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Service Management would be beneficial
- Leadership experience, coaching and mentoring skills will be required
