Support Worker

REQUIRED FOR - SOUTHERN SYDNEY AREAS and INNER WEST
**Responsibilities**:
- Household Chores: Assist individuals with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Meal Management: Help plan, prepare, and serve meals, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Transportation: Provide transportation to participants for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and community events. A reliable clean vehicle and a valid driver's license are required for this role.
- Community Engagement: Accompany participants in community events, social activities, and appointments, fostering social interaction and community integration
- Clear Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with participants, their families, and the support team to ensure the best care and support
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of tasks completed, participant progress, and any incidents or concerns that may arise.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate the ability to identify and address challenges with confidence, finding creative solutions to meet the participants' needs.
- Positive and Professional Approach: Interact with participants in a positive, professional, and friendly manner, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
**Requirements**:
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Availability to work 7 days a week with flexible scheduling.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
- Problem-solving skills.
- A positive, professional, and fun approach to life.
- Must have a working mobile phone with internet access.
Relevant disability-related qualifications are highly desired, but we are open to welcoming people who even have experience in disability, services, or any other hospitality-related work.
**Job Type**: Casual
- Salary: $30 - $40 per hour based on experience
- Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week (flexible to begin with)
- Overtime pay - loading for Saturday/ Sunday/ Public Holidays
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- At least a P2 Driver's Licence (required)
- Authorized to work in Australia (required)
Work Location: On the road and Indoors depending on the job
- MUST HAVE own Car
