John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella have commence design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package.

With a contract worth $1.63 billion, the Eastern Tunnelling Package includes construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. Starting at The Bays, tunnel boring machines will cross the harbour near the Anzac Bridge, before heading to the new Pyrmont station and then under Darling Harbour before reaching Hunter Street in the heart of the CBD.

**The role**:
We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Precast team based in Eastern Creek.
- Coordinating the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Creating regular reports for the Project Manager.
- Reviewing design documentation, read drawings, provide constructive review and oversee implementation of final designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicating with and engaging relevant stakeholders to control risks and contribute to building a risk management culture.
- Development of senior workforce staff to ensure the projects’ highest safety and work standards are consistent across the site including the mentoring and coaching team members.

**Skills and experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a construction environment with 2 years in a leadership role, with a strong knowledge of the Precast environment.
- An absolute commitment to ‘Safety First’ practises and lead by example.
- A commitment to excellence and high-performance in a ‘right first time’ environment ensuring your team are engaged and understand their responsibilities.
- Appreciation of the importance of ‘One Team’ understanding the importance of partnering with project support teams such as Safety, Quality, Community and Environment.
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to engage with and communicate at all levels driving positive outcomes
- Have an understanding of commercial issues (cost/time) and understanding of representing the project’s best interests.
