Duties will include:
- Building and supporting cultural connectedness for Aboriginal clients and ensure they enjoy high levels of social and emotional wellbeing-
- Delivering personalised support in a group home setting by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication and manual handling-
- Facilitation of cultural activities in the group home-
- Ensuring clients have access to information to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent-
- Transporting clients, using CPA minivan, if applicable.**Requirements**:
- Knowledge and genuine commitment to helping clients to maintain a distinctive cultural, spiritual and physical relationship with their land and waters-
- Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity towards the social and cultural needs of Aboriginal people and their families.-
- Ability to navigate complex and diverse client family dynamics-
- A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum) is preferred-
