Two functional divisions - Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids - are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a motivated and organised GIS Analyst to provide GIS support to the business.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join the evolving Oil and Gas Industry. You’ll work with a small group of GIS professionals, and be involved in supporting the cleaner energy vision of our business.

Key accountabilities include:

- Lead GIS analyst focal point for Offshore HSE Approvals and Stakeholder Consultation, delivering high-standard maps and spatial information for Environmental Plans and Project Proposals.
- Liaise with HSE project managers, external consultants, and stakeholders for project submission maps and spatial data deliverables.
- Manage and QC internal and external spatial datasets, processing vector and raster data.
- Create and maintain Offshore web mapping services.
- Provide GIS support to the Incident Management Team (IMT) for Emergency Response.
- Understand and contribute to cost reduction and value creation strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and processes, including EHS performance and behaviour.

**About You**

**Experience**

Essential experience required for this position includes:

- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- ESRI desktop skills including experience with ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Exposure to environmental and cultural datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of cartographic principles, map production, analysis, and display of spatial datasets.
- Strong knowledge of GIS concepts, data creation maintenance, security, and storage.
- Ability to manage changing workloads and project priorities.

Desired experience for this position includes:

- Experience within an Oil and Gas E&P Business.
- Experience with FME.
- Experience within an Incident Management Team (IMT) providing GIS support.

**Qualifications**

Essential qualifications required for this position are:

- Tertiary level qualifications in GIS technical area.
- Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
