Our client is a renowned Australian company providing superior products and services that support many Australians daily. Currently experiencing significant growth, this is an exciting time to join this organisation, which is looking for an experienced Leader to take charge of its Quality Control Team within its Health Insurance operations.

**About the role**

Your primary responsibility will be managing a team of eight, ensuring Quality Control processes and services are functioning effectively and efficiently and delivering to customer and business objectives.

Leading with influence and a passion for Quality Control are vital components of the role. You will be required to negotiate and gain the support of departments (such as sales) within the Health Insurance operations to ensure Quality Control measures are implemented effectively.

**Duties**
- Role model the aspired Leadership behaviours to source, lead, develop and retain high-quality team members
- Review, re-design, and manage the successful implementation of a new Quality Control management system
- Partner and collaborate across functions to deliver essential quality control functions
- Actively cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive a genuinely customer-centric culture through sustained leadership commitment using customer data and insights
- Develop and recommend quality control solutions and take ownership of identified resolution opportunities
- Prepare regular management and dashboard reports analysing and monitoring Quality Control effectiveness
- Maintain accurate resource planning and forecasting capabilities for quality control services
- Embed a continuous improvement learning culture, complex problem-solving capability and a test & learn environment within the quality control team
- Maintain effective performance and development plans for all staff, including managing and monitoring staff leave to ensure adherence and improve productivity
- Adhere to and ensure all direct reports adhere to all relevant risk, compliance, workplace safety, and legislation obligations

**Skills and Experience**
- 3+ years experience in a team leadership position with the demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
- Experience in operationalising a control assurance strategy
- Exposure to Risk, Compliance or Controls Assurance practices
- Exposure to business process improvement practices with a continuous improvement mindset
- Advanced skills in Excel, Qualtrics or a similar experience management platform will be highly regarded
