The recent acquisition of Air Affairs and Aerospace Training Services further establishes QinetiQ as a long-term, strategic partner to the Australian Defence Force and underpins QinetiQ’s strategic position as market leader in threat representation, training, test and evaluation. Aerospace Training Services, based in Nowra, NSW, provides quality aviation maintenance training and training support to the Australian Defence Force and is a recognised training organisation (RTO) and CASA Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO).

We are currently looking for experienced Aviation Trade Trainers to join our training team at our Nowra based site.

As an experienced aeroskills trainer / assessor you will be responsible for delivering aviation trade training, primarily helicopter, to both civilian and Australian defence force personnel. You will have the opportunity to enjoy our state of the art facility and grow your career with a global organisation.

Your day to day role will see you;
Developing training plans in accordance with regulatory and training requirements

Delivering high quality training to both civilian and defence training cohorts

Liaising with stakeholders across the business and industry

Supporting students on their learning journey

Managing documentation and training records

Experience as an AME / LAME with a focus on mechanical systems

A Cert IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)

Experience in a registered training organisation (RTO)

Knowledge of CASA training requirements

A Cert IV in Training & Assessment (not essential)

Ability to hold a defence security clearance (Australian Citizens) or a current active clearance.
