The
**purpose of this role** is to deliver high quality, professional risk management advice and services to clients, assist in the development of product and service offerings and identify and assist in developing new business opportunities. To collaborate with Workplace Risk (WPR) team in the continuous improvement of our service offerings and to assist achieving budget and growth of the Gallagher WPR business. Reporting to the Joint Head of Workplace Risk, the role requires management of a portfolio of predominantly risk state clients (WA, ACT, NT and TAS) across a number of exciting and varied industries.

**Client Engagement & Relationships**
- Identification of Workers Compensation service opportunities, understanding client needs and preparation of relevant service proposals.
- Project planning and overseeing delivery of services in accordance with agreed timeframes and service standards.
- Establishment and ongoing development of relationships with clients, workers compensation insurers, Gallagher safety and risk management personnel, and General Insurance colleagues.
- Engage with stakeholders in a way that demonstrates an understanding of the value of Gallagher Workplace Risk being respected on all sides of a transaction.

**Service Delivery**
- Management of the Western Region’s Workers Compensation P&L including delivering individual budget target, supporting the team to achieve their individual budgets and on-time submission of accurate monthly forecasts.
- Identify prospects, develop solutions and convert new business opportunities for the practice whilst also participating in formal tender responses and presentations as and when required by the bid management teams.
- Expand existing client engagements by identifying and capitalising on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by working closely with General Insurance colleagues, the Risk Advisory practice and other specialisms.
- Manage the performance and deliverables of a team of workers compensation consultants. In this regard also be a source of technical advice and guidance to the practice.
- As Practice Leader you will also serve as an Account Steward on several corporate programs providing a senior leadership presence to the servicing team whilst supporting the consultant responsible for overall delivery day-to-day.
- Lead and continue to develop the risk placement solution for Gallagher Workplace Risk.

**Administrative Support**
- Undertake administrative tasks relevant to Workers Compensation service delivery including information management
- Development and ongoing refinement of Workers Compensation templates and tools to assist service delivery.
- Participation in team meetings, business development activities, assist other Gallagher WPR team members, as required.
- Communicate with the National Practice Leader, Workplace Risk, regarding emerging trends, risks, opportunities or threats facing the Western workers compensation business

**Your Profile**
- Ability to develop and drive meaningful working relationships at all levels
- Developed network of relationships within the workers compensation market
- Ensure accuracy of documentation and polices for all clients and also for internal procedures
- Good understanding and knowledge of insurance industry and trends
- Strong computer literacy as well as organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field highly regarded
- Certificate or other related course in safety related area (e.g. Cert IV, diploma)
- Demonstrated experience in the West Australian workers compensation market
- Intimate knowledge of relevant Workers Compensation Legislation
- Exposure to additional states/territories highly regarded
