**Position: Job Opportunity: T02 Laboratory Technican**

**Location: Dutton Park, Brisbane**
**Pay Rate: $43 - $48/hr+ super**
**Assignment: until December 2024, 38 hrs a week, Mon - Fri**

**Maxima’s Recruitment Services** is currently seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of **Lab Techs** with our esteemed State Government client.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As part of the Chemistry Centre team, you’ll play a vital role in providing analytical support and data interpretation for government projects.
- Analyse environmental water/soil/plant samples using a range of techniques.
- Prepare samples, standard solutions, and reagents to quality standards.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as auto-analysers, ion chromatograph, and UV/VIS spectrophotometers.
- Undertake routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports First Nations people and contributes to better outcomes for them.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of analytical chemistry procedures related to water/soil/plant analysis.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and ensure accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including databases and word-processing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
