Zero Harm Coordinator

Downer has a long history of delivering transport infrastructure projects under a variety of contracting models. Services include the design and construction of light rail, heavy rail, bridge, and roads, as well as track and station work, signaling and rail safety technology.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Zero - Harm Coordinator to be a part of the Infrastructure Projects team - SA/VIC Rail Maintenance Division based in Underdale, SA.

You will provide support, coordination and advice of safety practices, systems, and procedures across various projects.

This role requires frequent travel to various project sites across SA

RESPONSIBILITES

Conduct field leadership inspections and audits.

Communicating safety requirements to subcontractors onsite.

Compile data and information for end of month reporting.

Track progress against assigned deliverables and report on progress to the leadership team.

Enter and extract data from key performance and incident management systems.

Prepare and update project work, health and safety documents and registers.

Facilitate group discussions about work, health, and safety.

Provide support to various projects across different states.

ABOUT YOU

Relevant Work, Health, Safety and/or Environment qualifications - favourable but not essential.

Experience within the rail, transport, construction, mining & resources, or engineering industries - favourable but not essential.

Able to travel locally, regionally or interstate for auditing purposes is a must

Initiative, motivated & self-driven

Understanding of document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support safety systems.

Knowledge of incident management and reporting involving multiple internal and external parties.
