About the role

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, in this Release and Change Manager role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of configuration changes and release of new systems ensuring that all changes and releases are implemented efficiently, meet the predefined requirements, and are aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.

In this role, you will:

- Manage the end-to-end process of system releases, including coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Maintain and refine the processes for managing and tracking changes and releases, ensuring compliance with the change and release policy, and continuously improving these processes for efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal project teams, vendors, and stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure their needs are met and to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
- Organize and manage pre-CAB technical reviews and coordinate the change
- Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring all changes and releases are reviewed and approved according to organizational standards.
- Play a key role in the development and refreshment of relevant processes and policies, ensuring they support the organization's strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate potential risks and impacts of proposed changes and releases on the service environment, including security, performance, and availability, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Monitor, track, and report on the status of changes and releases, ensuring adherence to governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.

About you

What you will bring to the role:

- Demonstrated experience in change and release management roles, showing successful deployment of IT services and systems.
- ITIL Certification and in-depth knowledge of ITIL service management framework, especially in Service Transition and Service Operation areas.
- Proven experience in change management, including use of tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow) to track and manage change requests, releases, and deployments.
- Understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) to effectively coordinate across projects and teams.
- Highly collaborate nature, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
