Civil Engineering Technician

Ground Science is a Geotechnical & Environmental consultancy firm based in Victoria with a strong laboratory focus.

This role is to conduct geotechnical laboratory testing as per appropriate Australian standard methods for projects, issuing reports as required, reporting to the laboratory manager.
- Test and analyse material samples to determine their content and characteristics.
- Perform sample preparation and conduct testing procedures in accordance with standards.
- Collecting and analysing data to carrying out computations to prepare charts and tabulations for test reporting.
- Operate, calibrate, and conduct routine maintenance of analytical instruments with a high degree of precision.
- Maintain calibration records, analytical results, test reports, and maintenance records.
- Keeping the laboratory in compliance with QA/QC and Work Place Health & Safety regulations.

**Skills & Experience**:
To be successful you will have:

- Degree/Diploma in Civil, Chemical or other relevant engineering field
- Minimum 2 years’ of relevant experience
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a timely and efficient manner
- High level of attention to detail
- Be able to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team

Remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience as per Manufacturing & Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2010 ref MA000010.
