Turf Surfaces Maintenance Attendant

The Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) is the traditional home of Thoroughbred racing in Queensland and maintains two race tracks Eagle Farm and Doomben. As the leading metropolitan race club in Queensland, the BRC conducts 70+ race meetings and hosts over 200,000 patrons each year, with several events on each day including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings to name a few

The Club requires an experienced Turf Surfaces Maintenance Attendant (Doomben Racecourse) to complement our team in a full-time capacity. This role is to ensure that all turf surfaces are maintained and presented in the highest possible standard with due consideration of OH&S policies and procedures.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Mowing, vacuuming, aeration of turf surfaces.
- Irrigation - maintenance, adjustment and repairs.
- Operate tractors and implements in a safe manner.
- Participate in renovation programs as directed.
- Move running rail for each race meeting.
- Undertake daily pre-start assessments of all turf equipment.
- Assist Management in daily/weekly/monthly maintenance programs.
- Work race days as scheduled by Racecourse Manager.

**To be successful for this role, you MUST have**:

- Minimum of Certificate III Turf management
- “C” Class driver licence
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound interpersonal and organisational skills
- Physically fit to undertake duties as required
