- 2025 Mechanical Apprenticeships - Centennial- Commencing January 2025
- Gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification in 4 years
- Located in Lithgow

**What you'll be doing**

You will complete a **Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade **qualification over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures.

**Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Assist qualified tradespeople in the repairs and maintenance of heavy mining equipment
- Undertake equipment diagnostic testing and repairs
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Conduct inspections and fault finding on equipment
- Work at an underground mine site
- Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required

**What you'll bring to the table**

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:

- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship and study requirements
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of safety and safe work practices
- Completion of your HSC (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated interest and passion for the Mechanical trade and Mining industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Developed mathematical ability
- Possession of a current driver's license (or ability to obtain by January 2025) and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to undergo an Order 43 - Mining Medical
