We are looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join our Marcs design team. You will be working on women’s wovens, cut & sew jersey garments and tailoring.

You will Contribute to the commercial objectives of the Brand through management of garment fit and quality standards, ensuring fit for purpose and acting as technical expert in all aspects of garment construction.

Reporting to the Creative Director you will be working very closely with our designers, production team and our external suppliers and factories.

**_ Key responsibilities include: _**
- Work closely with team to determine the standards for the brand
- Initiate size specifications for each development style in PLM
- Check all first specs and make sure they are in line with brand vision
- Review development samples and comments (if any) to ensure all amendments have been actioned from previous fit
- Measure and sign off PPS samples with the designers and CD
- Give technical guidance to design to achieve the desired result
- Provide technical and garment construction guidance at proto pack stage
- Ensure all fit samples meet company fit and quality standards; that garments measure to brand requirements
- Send out all fit comments within approved timeline
- Ensure a maximum of 3 samples (1st, 2nd, PPS) are fitted
- Accurately communicate the design and construction changes through measurements, descriptions, drawings and or photo’s.
- Liaise with the Designers to ensure accurate and detailed design packs are clearly marked and understood enabling supplier to deliver accurate samples first time
- Communicate closely with production and buying in order to keep updated with priorities and CTP
- Continually strive for a higher standard of sample to ultimately achieve a fit approved first time approach
- Contribute to the final production pack regarding the graded specs and garment construction details
- Ensure garments are constructed externally and internally in line with company quality standards
- Ensure garments have correct care instructions

**You will have**:

- 4-5 years experience in Garment Tech role
- Experience working with factories off-shore (China/Vietnam/India etc)
- Strong, clear communication skills
- Ability to work well with others to achieve best product possible
- Speed, accuracy & great attention to detail
- Fabric knowledge & fitting experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly aware of time constraints and impact on our Critical Path
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, cut & sew jerseys and tailoring
- Experience with PLM & Excel
