Ship Superintendent

Details
- Henderson location
- Permanent position
- 9 day fortnight option available
- Supervision of maintenance work on the Anzac Class navy ships
- In the absence of the Ship Manager, execute and maintain Ship Manager representation on board
- Work with the Zone/ Area Managers to ensure correct coordination of on-board activities
- Clearly direct production employees in matters of safety and efficiency
- Work with the SHE Business Partners and the Permit Office to ensure safe execution of activities on-board with regards to hot work, confined space, working at heights and chemical usage
- Work with the SHE Department to ensure good communication flow and rapid response to safety concerns on ship

**Requirements**:

- Experience in maintenance of Ship Systems/Equipment
- Proven experience in the supervision of labour employed on maritime maintenance and repair tasks
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable)
- Trade qualification (desirable)
- Developed understanding across engineering trades
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical/drug and alcohol screen
