Role
- Lead projects from the requirements phase through implementation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in formulating Test Strategies and Test Plans.
- Set up and Utilize Test Management tools such as Xray, Zypher, TestRail, etc.
- Develop and review test cases, both from scratch and based on recordings.
- Create Test Plan, Test Strategy, different Testing reports and define metrics
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention, usability, and functional improvements throughout the development process.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues identified during testing.
- Act as a leader as well as a team member and support the team with all the ground level work
- Consult with management to define project scope and provide updates on QA status and progress.
- Communicate effectively to ensure that all quality assurance needs are evaluated and addressed to meet or exceed quality standards.
- Document quality assurance results and concerns accurately, communicating them to the Project Manager and/or management team, and proactively research and resolve any issues.
- Participate in planning all testing activities to ensure timely deliverables.
- Develop and implement automation solutions in Cypress, following best practices and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintainability of automation efforts.
- Monitor and analyze automated test results, identifying failures and actively troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Coordinate and prioritize testing efforts across multiple functional areas, including test planning, execution, and defect management, to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
- Manage projects by tracking progress, anticipating, and removing roadblocks, and reporting progress and test results to project stakeholders and leadership.
- Generate specialized and ad hoc reports through testing management systems.
- Assess and communicate risks, propose mitigation strategies, and make recommendations for any potential impacts.
- Demonstrate experience in writing, implementing, and maintaining project management standards and processes.
- Display robust skills in Stakeholder management and effective communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 7+ years of practical experience in Quality Assurance (or an equivalent background).
- 3+ years of firsthand experience in leading technical teams.
- 3+ years of automation experience, preferably Cypress (JavaScript, Jasmine Framework)
- 4+ years of experience in database Testing, like SQL, db2,etc.
- 2+ years of expertise in Performance Testing using relevant tools.
- 2+ years of expertise in IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS400) operations
- Proficient with common development and test management tools, including Jira, Xray, SQL, SVN, TestRail, RPG, etc.
- Have problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Possess strong Project, Time, and People management capabilities.
- Showcase proficiency in programming with a solid understanding of various languages such as PHP, JavaScript, etc.
- Exhibit expertise in Testing Modernization and transformation Projects and a proven track record of driving Automation and Performance Testing.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of management.
