As a Decarbonisation Analyst, you'll work closely with our team of experts to analyse carbon footprints, prepare decarbonisation and net-zero plans, identify areas for improvement, and develop sustainable strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.
This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the company and make a real difference in the world of environmental consulting.
This role will have a national focus and ideally be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide however, we are also open to considering other locations within Australia.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Carbon Footprint Analysis: You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of our clients' carbon footprints, utilising best practice tools and methodologies.
- Sustainable Solutions: Collaborate with our team to design and implement creative and effective strategies for reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices.
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to gather relevant data, understand their business models, and offer tailored solutions that align with their environmental goals.
- Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends, regulations, and innovations in the carbon space to ensure we deliver the most relevant and impactful solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate your findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team of experts, sharing ideas and insights to create comprehensive and holistic solutions.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Sustainable Finance, or a related field.
- A passion for carbon reduction and environmental conservation is essential
- An ability to crunch data, do literature reviews, identify issues in data quality, and draw meaningful conclusions to inform your recommendations.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and other sustainability frameworks is a plus, but we're more interested in your enthusiasm to learn
- You're a natural communicator, both in writing and speaking English, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and approachable manner.
- You have a passion for sustainability with a desire to create a positive impact on the environment and a strong understanding of the importance of sustainability.
- You are a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy bouncing ideas off others, and believe in the power of teamwork.
- You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
