**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a P-8A (Poseidon) Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) Technician to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team. This role enables the Through-Life-Support (TLS) for the P-8A Poseidon Program at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh, South Australia.

As a BDA Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining P-8A Poseidon aircraft Support and Test Equipment. This will include undertaking S&TE trade activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) - MRO Services Capability.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) / GSE services on location as required
- Support deployed P-8A S&TE repair and maintenance activities if required
- Ensure S&TE, including Precision Measuring Equipment (PME) is appropriately maintained and calibrated to support the P-8A Program
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the S&TE/ GSE Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP), authorised technical equipment documentation, and the OEM Manuals.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Technical/ trade qualifications in a relevant ground support equipment field, together with one or more years' experience in a similar role - Essential
- Diesel mechanical experience, automotive electrical experience - Essential
- Sound understanding of the principles of preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a range of routine and non-routine tasks, together with sound interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components maintenance practices and requirements, together with well-developed knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, control systems, vision systems, and industrial computers.
