We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Missile Technician within our Nulka active missile decoy team based in Orchard Hills Defence Establishment, NSW.

**Your new role**:
As a member of the NSF-S team, the Missile Technician is required to contribute to the completion of team tasks, meeting project key performance indicators (KPIs) and grow own knowledge and experience.

Reporting to the Senior Missile Production Officer (Team Lead) you will:

- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Under supervision, carry out the assembly and disassembly of weapons components using various jigs, fixtures and special tools.
- Under supervision, using various items of test equipment, carry out electrical tests, physical measurements etc..
- Assist as required for inwards acceptance testing and function screening activities of weapons components.
- Assist in material control activities such as preparing and kitting consumable items, preparation and staging configured items for production and maintenance activities, movement of explosive ordnance etc.
- Other tasks within the capabilities of the technician, as directed.

**About you**:
**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Maintenance Technician background with relevant experience in planned maintenance activities or similar/equivalent experience
- Desirable to have Defence or a Defence Industry experience
- Inside the first 12 months of joining the team, be available for regular travel for training at Mulwala NSW initially two to four days a week once or twice a month reducing over the 12 months.

**Clearances**:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
