**About the Opportunity**:
In this important position you will utilise your electrical installation and maintenance expertise to effectively supervise and manage the work, budget and schedule of contractors while maintaining NPI plant and equipment across our site. Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Field Engineering, you will be required to demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
If you can effectively network, build relationships, and think commercially, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will gain broad exposure in diverse operations while seeing the impact of your recommendations in sound decision making.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Supervision of contractors to ensure that all electrical maintenance activies and projects are completed safely, on-time and on-budget without compromising compliance.
- Monitoring and ensuring electrical are compliant and carried out to the required standards and statutory requirements.
- Developing standards and procedures, and actively contributing towards continuous improvement.
- Supporting communication networks and control/data management systems as required.
- Preparation of scopes, budgets and cost estimates, and involvement in capital projects.
- Ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner.
**If you have a mixture of the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you**
- A Current WA electrical trade license (unrestricted).
- Demonstrated ability supervising electrical installation work and maintenance.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure systems such as Fire Systems, Weighbridges & Air-conditioning systems.
- A good understanding of electrical regulatory and statutory requirements with respect to industrial electrical work practices.
- Strong safety awareness.
- The ability to work autonomously, a self-starter and an effective planner.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Hazardous Areas experience (desirable).
