Austin Pathology is looking for an applicant in Shepparton or Surrounds to undertake a 3 month paid Pathology Collection Traineeship.

**Full Time (38hrs P/W) over a **3 month period. Potential casual relief work may be available upon successful completion of course.**

We are looking for an enthisiastic person who is interested in developing a career with Austin Pathology to undertake a Certificate III in Pathology.

**The successful applicant must have**:
A Kind, Empathetic nature

Attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills

Have a strong desire to work within the health field

Ability to work on roster once qualified, including weekends

Moderate Computer skills/Access to own computer

**About the role**:

- Enroll in Pathology Collection Certificate III with RTO
- Undertake online course work completing, completing 3xunits per week
- Trained to collect Pathology samples from patients (blood and non-blood specimens) in an outpatient centre
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
