**Full Job Description - Pastry Cook / Kitchen Hand**

Summary

Euro Patisserie Armadale is looking for a Pastry Cook / Kitchen Hand to assist our pastry chef. This newly formed role is to assist the kitchen and to also support the team all around.

Euro Patisserie Armadale has been operating for 15 plus years and has become a crowd favourite in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne.

The role will start with Part Time hours depending on experience and could lead into Full Time.

Some of the responsibilities include:

- Works closely with the Pastry chef to monitor Bakery and Pastry standards in all outlets and banquets.
- Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the business and the satisfaction of customers.
- Prepares and supervises daily requirements and ensures that all sections are supplied with fresh and high quality products based on anticipated business levels.
- Ensures consistent specific methods and supply of quality products and correct quantities are all applied to all recipes.
- Daily check of storage areas and maintain a high level of hygiene in all areas.
- Assists to prepare and post weekly work schedules, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.

**Qualifications**:

- Qualification in Kitchen Production and Management
- Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in Kitchen management, and operational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
- Minimum 1 years experience as Pastry Kitchen Hand, Assistant Pastry Chef or 2 years as Chef de Partie in Pastry section of a patisserie, bakery or restaurant; preferably with experience in French pastry making.
- Experience in a fast paced and busy environment is a must.

**Salary**: $20.33 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Armadale, VIC 3143: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Pastry Cook: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
