Job Summary:
The Celtic Club of Australia is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Bar Attendant to join our team. The Bar Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area. As a vital member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Take drink orders and ensure accurate delivery of beverages.

Provide recommendations on our beverage selection and be knowledgeable about our offerings.

Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Maintain a high standard of drink preparation and presentation.

Ensure the bar area is stocked with necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and condiments.

Cash Handling:
Handle cash and process transactions accurately.

Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.

Account for and reconcile daily cash and sales receipts.

Bar Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar equipment and glassware.

Monitor and restock bar supplies and inventory.

Follow established hygiene and safety standards in handling and storing beverages and bar equipment.

Compliance:
Adhere to all liquor licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) regulations.

Ensure the age verification of customers to prevent underage service.

Report any potential issues or incidents to the Bar Manager or relevant authorities.

Teamwork:
Collaborate with other bar staff and team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Assist in organizing and participating in special events and promotions.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working under pressure.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender is preferred.

RSA certification (Responsible Service of Alcohol).

Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with patrons.

Knowledge of different types of beverages and cocktails.

Cash handling experience and familiarity with POS systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages).

Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the role.
