Position Overview:
As a Data Governance Product Owner within the Technology and Transformation Division, you will play a pivotal role in executing activities to enhance enterprise tools supporting the Data and Analytics Strategy. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement in Data Governance and Data Quality Management tools, managing backlog activities, and supporting the expansion of data assets managed within the tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate improvement opportunities into the vision for Data Governance Solutions.
- Participating in strategic planning and delivery of transformation initiatives.
- Provide expert services to internal stakeholders, offering well-informed perspectives on Data Governance solutions.
- Manage the timely delivery of prioritized backlogs, including risk and escalation management.
- Uplift team capability to ensure successful feature delivery in line with stakeholder expectations.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain productive relationships with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring effective initiative roadmaps and progress communication.
- Collaborate with partner Service Owners to keep products current, usable, and aligned with enterprise expectations.
- Build strong relationships with solution vendors to influence product roadmaps and stay updated on solution developments.
- Engage and respond to Data Custodians to shape and influence business processes efficiently.
Data Governance Uplift:
- Collaborate with risk and governance functions to establish a consistent approach to enterprise data management.
- Understand and communicate the role of data governance in achieving the group’s strategy and compliance obligations.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Group, creating opportunities for education and training on best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Business, I.T., or Finance degree, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in a commercial environment.
- Data Governance solutions with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud and Experian Aperture Data Studio.
- Expert knowledge of data management disciplines and related solutions in the financial environment.
- Strong understanding of the financial services and banking industry.
- Deep understanding of Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud and data quality solutions such as Experian Aperture Data Studio.
- Strong planning, consulting, business design, design thinking, agile practices, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Mural.
