**Be challenged and imagine with us**

As a Consultant, you will be contributing towards growing the impact of the Institute by delivering fee-for-service projects and other strategic initiatives within our service areas of social science, economic development, and spatial research. You will be working in close partnership with stakeholders including:

- Government agencies,
- Key regional, national, and international business, industry, and NGO partners, and
- University’s academic staff researchers in the Colleges

Using translational research, you will be solving real-life problems - informing the global debate and empowering communities in regions undergoing profound social and economic change.

Working directly on governance and policy issues you will help to:

- shape the economy in a way that is as fair and inclusive as possible to everyone

And we want you to bring your innovative ideas to the team.
- What will you achieve?_

You will directly contribute to projects by collecting and analysing data, engaging with stakeholders / communities, and preparing impactful reports/presentations to influence policy and decision making.

By assisting with project design and costing, and drafting project proposals, you will play a key role in growing our fee-for-service area.

**How will you inspire us?**

You will have:

- Advanced capability to collect and analyse social, economic, or spatial data.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to build a rapport with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in project-based work, including designing, proposing, managing, and delivering projects in a consultancy, research, or industry setting.
- A personal interest or commitment to regional communities.

**Conditions & Benefits**

Salary range is $91,259 to $102,667 plus 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience. This is a HEW level 7 appointment.
