Bede Polding College is seeking a **Religion & Mathematics Secondary Teacher** to join their collaborative team on a Permanent Full-time basis.

**Your duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Have a thorough knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum
- The ability to critically select each of these appropriate to each student's stage of development and challenges students to be witnesses of faith by providing them appropriate activities in formation
- Teachers of Religious Education plan for and implement effective learning and teaching by negotiating with students to develop individual, explicit, challenging and achievable learning goals
- Designing conceptually coherent learning programmes using research evidence and appropriate teaching strategies
- Analyses and evaluates a student's learning by using a range of strategies for providing feedback in relation to the student's current and future learning
- Teachers of Religious Education are foremost a Witness to Faith
- Committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice by using professional teaching standards and key educational and Church documents to evaluate regularly their professional knowledge, practice and engagement
- The Religious Education teacher takes opportunities for personal professional learning and regular formation for mission
- The Mathematics teacher
- Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students;
- Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:

- Inquiry-based learning
- Creativity and critical thinking;
- Responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;
- The interview process may take place prior to the closing date of 22nd March 2024

**Qualification & Experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Education
- NESA Accreditation
- Statements of Service
- Working with Children Check clearance (essential)
- Exceptional communication skills
