St Mary's Primary School, Warners Bay is a systemic Catholic school in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, situated in the Parish of Boolaroo and Warners Bay. It is a safe, welcoming and caring environment where students are encouraged to become lifelong learners and discerning individuals able to use their knowledge and skills for their own good and for the good of society.

The School Officer/Library Assistant:

- As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
- As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
- Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
- Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
- A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
