This well-established Queensland owned, and operated business is considered to be a leading mid-tier contractor with a strong portfolio of current projects and pipeline for future landmark works. Their focus is predominantly on road projects although the company boasts a number of other successful results nationally.

We are searching for an Environmental Advisor with a minimum of 5 years’ Environmental experience within civil construction. This leading mid-tier contractor delivers TMR and civil infrastructure across South East Queensland. Apart of the HSET team you will be based on a project towards Warwick, working closely with Supervisors, Engineers & Work Crew to ensure the safe & environmentally compliant delivery of earthworks, road /bridge widening, and services associated on this $100M Main Roads project.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, responsibilities will include, but not limited to include:

- Monitor and ensure delivery of project is aligned with environmental plans
- Conduct environmental inspections and ensure project follow’s TMR Environmental legislation
- Provide continuous support and guidance to project team for improvements on environmental issues
- Environmental reporting on erosion, sediment control, noise / dust etc
- Ensure safety standards are kept to an ultimate high and are followed by site staff and subcontractors
- Hazard Identification, preventative, and corrective actions
- Additional general support and assistance to HSE team

Previous experience in a similar role within civil construction is a must. Tertiary qualifications in environmental science / engineering or similar. Previous Main Roads (TMR, RMS, VicRoads or similar) experience is **required** and understanding /management of IECA - Erosion and Sediment Control in the construction industry. Required to have environmental management systems experience, ISO 14001.
