Craigslea State High School provides a caring, safe and disciplined learning environment for Years 7 to 12. Founded in 1975, Craigslea State High School is an independent public school located on approximately 10 hectares. **About the Role**:
This position is suited to an energetic and future-focused instructional leader. The role of the HOSES is tasked with embracing 'Equity and Excellence' for every student, focusing on educational achievement, wellbeing and engagement, and culture and inclusion.The successful applicant will provide support to the Deputy Principal's in the case management of students in Years 7-12 that are identified through NCCD as having complex issues. Your expertise will also be integral in developing the capacity of staff to meet the educational needs of students with disability.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program.
- Lead and manage the Special Education Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
- Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
- Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
- Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
- Capacity to use analytical skills to contribute to educational outcomes at the school level.
- Demonstrated support for and the capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and corporate values.
