Commercial Manager, Aviation

The Aero Contract Manager is part of the Aviation team at Melbourne Airport and is accountable for management of aeronautical contracts and associated analysis and reporting. The role works closely with airlines and airport stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes across the business.
With the aviation and travel sector booming as we head into 2023, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join
**Key responsibilities**:
Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Management of aeronautical contracts and associated performance reporting and modelling
- Providing expert financial and commercial support through the provision of accurate and insightful analysis
- Preparation of customer presentations and engagement at commercial airline forums
- Accountable for management of existing aeronautical contracts to ensure that all commercial performance and compliance components of these contracts are achieved
- Reviewing and reconciling financial drivers used in aeronautical pricing models
- Reviewing business cases to support the allocation of capex and opex investment decisions
- Working collaboratively across the business to engage and influence commercial outcomes
- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) and significant experience (7+ years) in a commercial role within Aviation, Infrastructure/Logistics, Supply Chain or related industry
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, with experience in providing commercial insights to senior management, including investment and contract performance analysis and reporting
- Strong data manipulation and financial modelling skills including the advanced use of Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
