**Job Title: System Analyst**

**Job Summary**: The System Analyst for our Registered Training Organization (RTO) is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining information systems tailored to meet the unique needs and compliance requirements of an educational institution. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand regulatory standards, educational processes, and technological needs, while ensuring seamless integration and usability of information systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Requirement Analysis**: Gather and analyze business requirements from RTO stakeholders, including administrators, instructors, and students, to understand their educational and administrative needs.
- **System Design**: Design and customize information systems, including student management systems, learning management systems (LMS), assessment tools, and reporting systems, to align with RTO compliance standards and operational processes.
- **Compliance and Regulatory Alignment**: Ensure that information systems meet regulatory requirements set forth by relevant governing bodies, such as the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) or other regional accrediting agencies.
- **Integration and Interoperability**: Integrate new or existing systems with external platforms and databases, such as government reporting portals or third-party educational resources, to facilitate data exchange and interoperability.
- **Testing and Quality Assurance**: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, reliability, and security of information systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- **Documentation and Training**: Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials to support end-users in utilizing information systems effectively and efficiently.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in educational technology (EdTech), and proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes to improve the quality of education and administrative efficiency.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role in an educational institution, preferably in an RTO or higher education setting.
- In-depth knowledge of RTO compliance standards and regulations, such as ASQA Standards for Registered Training Organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate educational requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in system analysis or related field (e.g., Certified Business Analyst Professional).
- Experience with popular learning management systems (LMS), student management systems (SMS), or educational ERP systems.
- Familiarity with e-learning standards and technologies, such as SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) and Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI).
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools, with experience in educational data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for designing inclusive educational technology solutions.
