An opportunity exists to join a Wollongong based team striving to be the best provider of advanced geotechnical engineering solutions to the global underground mining industry.

Established over 35 years ago, SCT Operations is an industry leader in the provision of geotechnical consultancy, field services, instrumentation and research to the underground mining and civil industries.

**The Role**

We are seeking a detail-oriented draftsperson to transform data, diagrams, and maps into clear, informative illustrations for inclusion in SCT’s geotechnical engineering reports, technical papers and presentations.
- Develop high quality technical illustrations, maps, and diagrams for use in reports, publications and presentations using CorelDraw.
- Interpret and integrate data from multiple sources including Excel, schematics, models, CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, GIS programs).
- Collaborate with team members to understand drafting requirements and provide timely support to achieve reporting deadlines.
- Continuously improve drafting standards to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Assist with the design, 3D printing, and manufacture of prototypes and parts.

**About You**
- Demonstrated proficiency in a graphic design software and CAD program.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in technical illustration and data visualisation.
- Mathematical aptitude with an understanding of technical and engineering concepts.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn on the job.
- Organised and methodical, with a systematic approach to following processes and maintaining standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and able to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Experience using Inventor and 3D printing is an advantage, but not essential.
