Purpose
- The purpose of the Analyst Information Technology Infrastructure is to be the ‘custodian and protector’ of the companies operating infrastructure, both hardware and software such that both are designed, installed and maintained ‘fit for purpose’ and up-to-date with the commercial needs of the business.

Inherent in this purpose is to achieve and maintain a safe, secure and disruption free operating environment.

Primary Accountabilities
- 1. Ensure adherence to company directions and processes including, but not limited to, the areas of health and safety; disaster prevention; financial and business operations.

2. Design and/or build and maintain the most cost efficient, fit for purpose, operational infrastructure to support the commitment to The Bridgestone Essence.

3. Monitor closely and maintain all operating systems such that downtime is minimised, productivity enhanced and BMSA’s commitment to creating Customer Value and Trust is honoured.

4. Recommend and/or design as appropriate, improvements for the efficient operation of BMSA’s hardware and software systems

5. Attend promptly to the operational needs of the business such as patching and upgrading systems on servers, adding and removing users, replacing hardware and software

6. Continually and consistently monitor and review the systems operating performance with emphasis on implementation and upgrade of ICT Systems and on server issues

7. Minimise downtime by actively practising a planned systems maintenance program. When downtime occurs resolve the matter promptly

8. Maintain a stringent data security and back-up system including an efficient and effective disaster recovery plan. Together with equipment processes these should be tested regularly

10. Provide prompt and efficient support to all end-users including serving as a back-up for PNG

11. Maintain the integrity of BMSA’s Information Technology system with particular emphasis on the Branch Infrastructure network

12. Infrequent travel required to meet the requirements of the role

Person Specification

Commercial Attributes
- Relevant tertiary qualification (in infrastructure, science, engineering/technical)
- Relevant product experience and certifications in the systems the Company operates
- Strong understanding and commitment to compliance processes
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure management, server and server managed systems
- Experience of working in a Global Organisation with multi-site and multi country operations, subsidiaries and branches
- Experience in 100+ user environments
- Sound networking and communication skills
- Documentation, filing and administrative skills
- Business experience and commercial acumen
- Proactive (propose) and responsive (when requests come in to challenge or modify)
- A valid driver’s licence in accordance with statutory requirements applicable for the class (es) of vehicles the performance of the role requires
