Monday to Friday

As part of the Finance Innovation and Improvement Team, leading Digital Finance Transformation across Fortescue, helping finance leaders with corporate-level forecasting, planning, providing single-source of truth data, streamline reporting, and using machine learning technologies to uplift digital finance and operational management capabilities. You will work closely with across the Fortescue’s business units such as: Mining Operations & Planning, Processing Plant, Engineering & Reliability, Asset Management, Health & Safety, Capital Management and Workforce Planning.

With the continuous growth of digital solutions across the organisation, you will participate in requirements session and to prepare detailed functional documents, data architecture maps and process flows for the design and implementation of solutions.

Further to this, being part of this team, you will have an opportunity to train on fundamental data management, complex data modelling and transformation. You will be working in a collaborative team, sharing ideas, strong drive for continuous improvement and learning new technologies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Administer and optimize our data pipeline, including data ingestion, transformation, validation, storage and delivery
- Develop data integration pipelines across different sources, systems and platforms, using various tools and technologies. Currently our department's main data platforms include AWS S3, Snowflake and Workiva WData
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists and business users to understand their data requirements and provide them with relevant data sets and reports
- Implement data quality checks, data security measures and data governance standards
- Perform wrangling of unstructured data sets to standardise and align them for ingestion and aggregation across the business
- Troubleshoot and resolve any data issues or incidents

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, engineering, mathematics or related field
- 1 to 5 years data engineering, business analyst, data analyst, database administration, or related roles
- Exposure to data model design such as data structures, algorithms, relation database principles
- Experience in SQL, Snowflake, R, Python, REST APIs, Amazon Web Services is preferable.
- Strong communication, close attention to details is critical and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Integration knowledge/experience from various source
- Experience with data transformation and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data-related technologies, SQL, Snowflake and Amazon S3
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Analytical detail-oriented and accurate
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Data profiling and data analysis knowledge.
