**The State Manager Intelligence will demonstrate**:

- Strong system development experience regarding the collection, recording and analysis of intelligence information.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting intelligence briefs in respect of the analysis of intelligence data and identifying emerging threats and trends.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.
- Ability to navigate and utilise corporate data information systems. Interpersonal skills for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, who often have competing interests, on sensitive and complex issues.
- Research and analytical skills for investigating issues and analysing trends associated with corrections specifically sentence administration activities.
- Sound knowledge of intelligence planning, processes and products.
- Preparation of complex reports and submissions.
- High level of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate, coach, mentor and encourage staff to meet the challenges of demanding work roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of office and analytical software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, iBase and Analysts Notebook.
- Ability to develop and facilitate training.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications for this position, nationally recognised training or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would be highly desirable.
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business; therefore, the possession of a valid C class licence is required.
