**Your role**:

As a Telecommunications Technician, you’ll become part of the Army’s advanced information and communication systems team, the Signallers. Your collective goal is to keep the Army connected, and to keep those connections protected.

**Your duties include, but aren’t limited to**:

- Install, maintain and alter telecommunications systems and general equipment for Army deployments in peace, crisis or conflict
- Plan, design, implement and maintain complex communications and information systems
- Assist commanders to control the battle operation by communicating vital information using radio, fibre optic, information systems, satellite links and more
- Ensure the Army's information services are available wherever needed

**Location**:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in VIC, QLD, NSW and the NT.

**Salary**:
In the Army you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $84,710 per annum plus generous super.

For this role, you must be an Australian citizen, over 17 at the time of enlistment, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English, Mathematics and Science (with a Physics component). You must also be able to successfully obtain a security clearance and meet the minimum medical and fitness requirements.
