**Description**:
**The opportunity**:
NGH is seeking a passionate Principal level Ecologist to join the team. This role is a leader in the biodiversity team where you will manage projects, provide advice to clients and internal staff, drive standards and mentor staff. You will be working on a wide range of projects, including large scale renewable energy and infrastructure developments as well as smaller niche projects to ensure a varied body of work while building upon professional experience and specialist technical skillset.

Just as it’s important to balance the field and office work, so too is managing work life balance. There are opportunities to influence the NGH biodiversity team and provide input with new ideas and approaches, we welcome ambitious and motivated people.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Here’s what we’re looking for**:
This is an excellent career opportunity for experienced specialists with a background in biodiversity consulting looking to broaden their experience, work on exciting projects in diverse landscapes and be supported by industry leaders. Ideally you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Ecology or related field.
- Ideally BAM accredited or working knowledge of the BAM.
- Demonstrated experience in flora and/or fauna identification.
- Knowledge of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policy.
- Demonstrated experience with GIS.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
