Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal role by processing the weekly payroll ensuring it runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy. We are looking for someone who can participate in building a strong payroll function and be actively involved in process improvement.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Input weekly payroll data including finalisation of weekly and month end reports and EOY procedures
- Calculate commission payments, monthly statutory payments, and produce / input weekly payroll journals
- Ability to interpret awards and agreements to facilitate accurate payroll delivery
- Reviewing accuracy of apprentice invoices, code and enter the invoices that are issued from the apprentice providers each week into ERP for payment
- Complete superannuation and leave reconciliation calculations
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the payroll function
- Assist Group Financial Controller as required

The successful applicant will have a strong customer service background, will be driven, flexible and passionate. You will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Experience as a Payroll Officer in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- The ability to use initiative and have an eagerness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal attributes
- The ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks with strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and meticulous especially with numbers
