**Company Background**

Our client, established 40 years ago, is one of NSW’s leading charities providing support, funding and information to millions of Australians every year. They receive funding from a range of sources and provide a variety of services to individuals across the state.

Our client is currently on the lookout for a talented Chief Financial Officer on a part time basis. They are open to considering someone looking for 3-4 days per week. There is a high degree of flexibility over these days/hours being split across the week.

**The Role**

As CFO your role will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the finance function including planning, implementing, managing, budgeting and reporting of all finance related activities of the company. The CFO will provide meaningful insights to inform decision making at both an executive and operational level.

Your role as CFO will include (but not be limited to):

- Manage a small finance team
- Oversee the financial accounting including ensuring the month-end and year-end process are completed
- Complete the budgeting & forecasting for business units & whole organisation
- Business partner with non-finance stakeholders on budgets, performance & reporting to funding providers
- Prepare cashflow reports including cashflow projections
- Ensure tax obligations are met
- Suggest and manage process improvement initiatives

**Your Background**

In order to be considered for this Part-Time Chief Financial Officer role you will meet the majority of the following criteria:

- Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Recent experience working in an environment that receives funding from multiple sources including government
- Demonstrable accounting skills to produce the numbers and the smarts to tell the story behind the numbers
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate complex finance concepts with non-financial stakeholders
- Be able and willing to take on a part-time role for 3-4 days per week
- Track record of process improvements and a history of bringing people along with change
