About the role

The Systems Manager - Financial Planningprovides system and related support to the Strategic Finance team in meeting their analytical and reporting needs. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administration of the Adaptive Planning and other BI tools utilised by the Strategic Finance team- Design and manage system related processes- Report writing and dashboard development from Adaptive Planning or other BI tools

You are an expert in planning system and BI tools, connected/up on current Finance technology trends and a product influencer who can quickly connect with business and customers to identify critical gaps and deployment needs.

This highly visible position will work closely with the Strategic Finance Team to fully and efficiently utilise the newly implemented tool and its ongoing maintenance. Understanding the organisation’s historical performance, drivers of performance, key assumptions and trends that may impact future performance/growth, broad understanding of accounting and business operations will significantly support your ability to optimise the deployment of any planning tools.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and Workday SMEs to define the roadmaps, prioritize projects and enhancement requests, analyse business benefits and/or operational efficiencies, map business processes, implement creative and effective solutions likely to have the greatest impact and to maximize our investment.

Please note: The role is internally known as Senior FP&A System Analyst

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Significant and exceptional experience in the administration of financial planning systems and BI tools and the supporting of a substantial Financial Planning and Analysis team.- An excellent track record of solving complex/strategic issues using a variety of innovative approaches to drive system and process change, high performance/results, risk management, customer and stakeholder experience.- Excellent track record of commitment to and successful delivery of high-quality outputs within strict deadlines (organisational and time management skills)- Solid system knowledge and experience, detail oriented, customer focused, creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence- Demonstrated expertise in developing system based financial analysis and reports- Advanced ability to manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment- Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the University and with external agencies to maximize performance- Excellent understanding of local and global market/context within which the University operates
