**The Organisation**

The local health network provides care for more than 400,000 people living in the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide and boasts newly redeveloped wards and emergency and outpatient departments, with plans for the addition of more brand-new facilities in the near future. The local health network provides a full range of high-quality medical, surgical, maternity, diagnostic, emergency and support services.

The Women & Children's Division work closely with one another to promote a brilliant and fair working environment. With a wide mix of staffing from Consultants to Resident Medical Officers, Nurses, Midwives and a supportive administrative team both front and back of the house.

**The Job**
- As a Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to them in collaboration with the responsible resident medical officers, registrars, fellow consultants, midwives, nurses and allied health professionals.
- You will supervise and manage the Labour ward and Gynaecological emergencies
- You will participate in the after-hour on-call roster with both first and second on-call commitments.
- The Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will be involved in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, auditing and continuing education activities.

**Requirements**:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible for registration via the competent authority pathway
