Training Specialist

**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
At dnata we are dedicated to assisting employees reach professional goals through development opportunities.
The** Training Specialist** will support the dnata Passenger Services business function in a Higher Duties capacity as and when required by the business and operation.
As the **Training Specialist - Passenger Services**, you are responsible for providing ongoing training support on an adhoc and hybrid basis. Working closely with the National Training team and local Management and Service Delivery Supervisor Team, this role will ensure that training is facilitated and organised as per business and client airline requirements.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Train colleagues in an efficient and cost-effective way;
- Liaise with specialist and clients to ensure relevant training and administration resources as used and updated where required;
- Assist the training team to report on training compliance, expiries and recurrence requirements;
- Assist the training team to complete sign-off processes and ensure all applicable team members meet company standards;
- Provide feedback, mentoring and support to buddy’s and SME’s
- Accountable person for completing paperwork and entering into VETrack
- Assist with training document control and document review
- Assist other ports with data entry, as required.
- Assist training department with any ad hoc duties
**OH & S Responsibilities**
- Comply with the dnata OHS Policy and related Group Policies
- Comply with legislative OH & S requirements
- Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
- Conduct work in accordance with dnata’s OH & S Management System and customer OH & S requirements
- Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided
- When applicable wear the required personal protective clothing and equipment
**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- VETrak experience essential
- Currently or willing to be signed off on numerous Passenger Services Functions including: PAX Assist, Check-in and Delta/Gate Supervisor
- High level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of training management systems.
- Well-developed communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
- Sound understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework and knowledge of all aspects of VET and RTO quality frameworks;
**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.
