We are currently seeking a strong and creative Bioinformatician with an eye for detail and a passion for biological research to:

- Conduct research either as a member of a team or independently
- Support related research projects
- Perform benchmarking analysis of software and develop/optimise pipelines for research analysis
- Produce, or contribute to high quality publications
- Contribute to research funding submissions
- Present research data at conferences and seminars
- Contribute to the bioinformatics education of other researchers

**As our Bioinformatician your responsibilities will include**:

- Generating reproducible, high quality research results
- Having a demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments independently as well as in a team environment
- Interpreting and analysing molecular biology data
- Developing and implementing algorithms using omics data (ie. RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, ChIPseq, WGS, WES, targeted sequencing, proteomics and metabolomics)
- Supporting spin-off research projects resulting from the BT group
- Supporting research projects and grant administrative activities of the BT group
- Statistical analysis for clinical and bench-side research
- Assessing, understanding and implementing bioinformatics tools and generating bioinformatics pipelines
- Teaching, assisting and mentoring scientists in the field of bioinformatics

**To succeed you will have**
- At a minimum a BSc in either Bioinformatics, Biology, Molecular Biology, Computer Science or Statistics
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Programming
- Expertise in at least two of Bash, R, Python, or Perl is essential
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas is desirable: Immuno-oncology, Next generation sequencing, or Cancer-, cell
- or molecular biology
- Expertise in the interpretation of molecular data analysis is desirable, but not essential
- A highly motivated, flexible, creative and empathetic attitude to your work
- Strong abilities in problem-solving and independent thinking
