**About the role**

As the Control Assurance Analyst you will deliver control testing and assurance activities for Banking operational risk and compliance obligations and provide recommendations to uplift and strengthen Suncorp Bank’s control environment.

This role sits in the Control Assurance Team, who support centralised control assurance activities across the Bank, and are responsible for testing Bank controls to ensure they effectively support the Bank’s risks and obligations, and recommend improvement/automation opportunities as needed.

**What you’ll do**
- Coordinate Banking SMEs to ensure effective consultation for the design and execution of control tests, ensuring alignment with BEAR/ FAR accountabilities.
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities to strengthen the control environment, achieving the right balance between risk reduction and cost to implement.
- Effective relationship management and training to support Banking Executives in understanding their risk accountabilities and uplift knowledge of the control environment within all teams.
- Identify improvements, including automation opportunities, in the control design to improve customer experience, mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Bank obligations.
- Ensure control testing and assurance activities align with internal Policies, Frameworks and Standards, regulatory requirements and BEAR/ FAR reasonable steps requirement

**What you’ll bring**
- Relevant degree in Business, Law or related field (desired)
- 1+ years’ experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit and/or control assurance (desired)
- 1+ years’ experience in banking or financial services
- Excellent communication skills with experience managing stakeholders, including co-ordination of key programs of work
- Experience using Policies, Frameworks and Standards
- Report writing experience is preferred
