**Role Description/Criteria**

MacKillop is a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses inspired by the spirit of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. Applications are invited from qualified personnel for the following position commencing at the beginning of 2024

**Outdoor Education (Fieldwork)**

The role of the Outdoor Education (Fieldwork) is to:

- Lead and instruct all Year 7-9 programs
- Prepare risk management documentation for Year 7-9 programs
- Prepare all food and equipment for programs catering for individual needs e.g. allergies
- Prepare and collect all necessary paperwork for programs
- Prepare all students through presentations and classroom visits
- Liaise with homeroom teachers and parents about students’ special needs and medical conditions
- Write formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
- Liaise with relevant landowners and managers
- Purchase, maintain and repair all outdoor equipment
- Ensure buses used for the programs are clean
- Organise bookings and permits for all venues, if required
- Organise transport requirements
- Assist homeroom teachers in the organisation for programs
- Assist and possibly leading Year 10-12 programs when available
- Assist on other programs when needed (Year 9 Lady Northcote Camp, Vocational Pathways Program [VPP] camp)
- Communicate with the Outdoor Education Leader about general program needs
- Record all incidents and providing relevant notes to the college first aid officer and Outdoor Education Leader
- Obtain and/or update required qualifications and compliances
- Understand and adhere to state and national course requirements including the standards of professional practice - Australian Standards of Teaching - and the CECV
- Keep accurate records of student attendance
- Embrace the use of information and communications technologies to enhance learning
- Monitor the progress of each student and provide meaningful and regular feedback to each student on their progress

The successful applicants for the above positions are expected to be supportive of the philosophy of Catholic education and must have a current:

- National Police Record Check form Victoria Police

These positions will be remunerated as per the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement.
