**How you’ll make an impact**

As a Practice Advisor with One Doorway, you will be responsible for providing practice leadership across a range of services including Supported Living, Independent Supports and Respite, with overall responsibility of developing the practice capacity of all One Doorway Employees
- Enhance capability and practice excellence among teams by mentoring, coaching, and supporting the advancement of person-centered practice
- Build capability of existing staff through observing and providing advice on practice areas, including risk management
- Ensure Managers and Disability Support Workers have the information, tools, development and support they need to deliver rights-based supports and achieve person-centred outcomes
- Identify skills and knowledge gaps in relation to NDIS, National Disability Standards and other applicable Standards and Quality Frameworks and work with Managers to address these
- Coordinate and deliver skills and practice development (including webinars) in person-centred values, thinking and planning, Active Support and Trauma Informed Practices and other practice improvement strategies
- Monthly reporting of restrictive practices and communication with NDIS/Proda and various practitioners regarding reporting requirements as required.

**What we're looking for**

As a patient, flexible and understanding individual with a supportive and caring nature, ideally with experience within the disability or health care sectors, you’ll have;
- Experience collaborating directly with people with disabilities who have complex and high support needs, particularly those who are in hospital, shared supported accommodation, residential aged care (RAC) and/or at risk of entry to RAC
- A working knowledge of the NDIS, its framework, structure, and practice
- Demonstrated capacity to engage with allied health and clinical care health staff
- Advanced critical thinking skills, including a pro-active approach to individual problems, through to systemic advocacy
- Experience in training and mentoring other professionals in the area of disability/health

Desirable, however not essential;
- Experience working within the disability or health care sectors
- Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
