About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Ministry Assistant You will be responsible for strengthening The Salvation Army's engagement with young people, families and community outreach services.

Responsibilities include
- Create and implement training workshops for your team to equip and further develop their capacity
- Support children and young people to live a positive and Christ-centred lifestyle
- Plan, co-ordinate and deliver Corps programs focused on children, youth, young adults and families in consultation with the Corps Officer(s)
- Provide pastoral care to children and youth in conjunction with Corps Officer(s)
- Engage in ministry, professional and personal development opportunities as occasion allows (eg: TSA courses
- LEARN)

This is a fixed-term part-time position, contracted until December 2024, 26 hours per week, based in Clifton Springs, VIC.

You will have
- Relevant qualification in Youth and/or Children’s Ministry, Community Services and/or Social Work
- Relevant experience implementing, facilitating and evaluating youth and/or children’s programs
- Actively promote Vision, Mission and Values of The Salvation Army A Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
