**Division Responsibilities**

As part of the Corporate Operations Group the Financial Management Division supports the

government and the department by providing a range of financial and budget management

services and advice and managing property and essential office assets and equipment. The

Division also provides financial, payroll and enquiry services for Health's employees,

suppliers and the community.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Corporate and Financial Services Branch provides essential corporate services and

advice to enable the department and broader portfolio to function effectively. We’re one of

the largest and most diverse branches in the department and provide more than 400

different services across our teams to support thousands of people. Our services include

payroll, accounts processing, travel and credit card management, portfolio agency service

management and the contact centre. Our emphasis is on providing services to support

individuals and the business of Health. We’re the delivery and customer service experts.

**Section Responsibilities**

Health’s Shared Services Performance Team supports the delivery of the department’s

shared services to portfolio agencies. Through client engagement, the team provides advice

and support to these portfolio agencies. The team co-ordinates billing to the portfolio

agencies and, also undertakes performance reporting for the department and the portfolio

agencies. The team supports the shared service’s assurance framework which in turn

supports the portfolio agencies meet their applicable obligations.***

**Key Responsibilities**

Support administration of the shared service function, perform secretariat for key forums

and coordinate key program. Responsibilities of the Shared Service Business Officer include,
- Providing liaison support with service owners around the management of the Shared

Service Offer, Shared Service Governance Forum, Shared Service Assurance

Framework and Shared Service Price List.
- Develop and maintain shared service performance dashboards, report on trends and

assist in identifying their root cause and mitigation solutions.
- Coordinate delivery of shared service delivery business operations functions, such as

billing, assurance, engagement and performance.
- Prepare governance material including performance reports and risk management.
- Update records, collate, analyse and produce reports as required.
- Providing administrative services to various internal and external governance forums

related to the shared service function.***

**Key Capabilities**

- A demonstrated high level of organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills,

the ability to use initiative and work independently and the ability to prioritise work

to meet deadlines.
- A demonstrated ability to work well in a team, foster a positive team environment

and demonstrated experience coaching and training colleagues (or related

experience).
- A demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with

people from a wide range of backgrounds, including clients, service owner functions,

other team members and senior management. This will include a proven ability to

manage stressful and/or conflict situations in a professional manner.
- A demonstrated ability to contribute to and support change in the workplace

including a strong ability to identify opportunities for process improvement. In

addition, quickly acquire a sound working knowledge of current procedures,

guidelines and policies.
