Product Owner

**What does a successful Product Owner do at Fiserv?**

As an Agile Product Owner at Fiserv, you will be a key player in defining and delivering end-to-end solutions within an agile framework. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and guide the development team to create high-quality solutions.

**What you will do**:

- Act as the product owner within the Agile development team, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that user stories are well-understood, appropriately scoped, and aligned with project goals.
- Prioritize user stories based on business value and customer needs, ensuring that the development team delivers the highest value features first.
- Manage and maintain the product backlog, tracking progress, and ensuring that development tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Engage with the development team throughout the sprint to provide clarifications, make trade-off decisions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment throughout the development process.
- Continuously groom and refine the product backlog based on changing priorities and feedback from stakeholders.

**What you will need to have**:

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in large complex organizations, preferably in BFSI.
- 5+ years of experience and comprehensive understanding of agile delivery and practices.
- Familiarity with microservices, mobile and web app security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and customers for problem-solving and issue resolution.

**What would be great to have**:

- Experience working with payment solutions and familiarity with mainframe environments is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff.
